About Us

People come to work for Habinteg because they believe in what matters to us. As a Housing association that specialises in providing accessible and adaptable homes, inclusion drives all that we do. One in four people in this country is disabled and Habinteg provides and champions homes and neighbourhoods that everyone can share and enjoy. We have over 3200 homes across the country from Tyneside to Cornwall. We are a sector leader in promoting inclusive housing design and our in-house expert team, Centre for Accessible Environments (CAE) provides expert inclusion and accessibility training and consultancy to the housing industry and beyond.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering housing services to our tenants at Gainsborough Court & Nash Drive. This is a generic and rewarding housing management role - and a challenging one. You will be letting properties, carrying out scheme inspections, including key health and safety checks, helping tenants to keep up to date with their rent, and liaising with social services and occupational health services to ensure tenants can successfully maintain their tenancy and live independently. You will also be supporting tenants to maintain their tenancies, including managing reports of anti-social behaviour.

You will be working as part of a small team managed by the Neighbourhood Manager and will be expected to achieve stretching and ambitious targets. Tenant engagement is key to Habinteg’s success, and you will work closely with tenant representatives and tenant groups.

At times, you may be asked to travel to sites outside of your normal working area to support the wider team to carry out essential void works/sign-ups.

About You

You will be committed and enthusiastic, thriving on the challenges of working independently and the responsibility and rewards that brings. You will have some experience and knowledge of housing management in the social housing sector, and will be committed to Habinteg’s inclusive housing mission.

Computer literacy is needed, as are sound written and verbal communication skills.

You will be flexible and agile in your approach, being able to adapt your approach to different circumstances and service demands.
