Energy efficiency

Habinteg is committed to delivering a planned investment programme that’ll ensure all homes currently rated below an EPC C have energy efficiency measures carried out to bring the property up to an EPC C (a property that is moderately energy efficient) or above by 2030. We want our tenants to live in warm, energy efficient homes that are free from damp and mould.

We have 1,030 properties with solar panels installed where tenants can already benefit from reduced electricity bills. This approach is intended to support tenants by alleviating fuel poverty and providing warmer, more comfortable homes.

We're also committed to environmental sustainability and working towards net zero carbon emissions by 2050. We're currently undertaking a carbon footprint assessment which will support our work in achieving this target.
