Habinteg Housing Association has appointed Christina McGill as its Director of Social Impact & External Affairs.
Christina will take a strategic lead in promoting the organisation’s interests, influencing decision-makers to increase the number of accessible homes and the adoption of accessibility standards.
Leading on the housing association’s social impact strategy Christina will focus on developing local and national partnerships that help support and sustain tenancies, and build cohesive, inclusive communities.
The role also oversees Habinteg’s Communications Team and its specialist consultancy service, Centre for Accessible Environments (CAE).
Christina was previously Head of Communications for 10 years at the housing association, which specialises in inclusive housing for disabled and older people, prior to a nine month interim appointment as Director of Strategy & External Affairs.

I’ll be building on the association’s award winning campaigns and its great work in the policy and practice arena. I’m also really excited to kick off Habinteg’s new social impact programme, seeking out new projects and partnerships that can have a lasting impact on our tenants’ lives and help our communities thrive.”
