The HabFix project is designed to help us catch up efficiently with non-emergency repairs that we couldn’t complete during Covid-19 lockdown. Planning for the next phase of our HabFix repairs programme is now under way.

Habinteg campaigns for more effective planning rules and building regulations to ensure an increase in the supply of accessible and adaptable homes. Here Habinteg’s Director of Strategy and External Affairs, and tenant Kerry Thompson provide an initial response to the government’s proposals.
The HabFix team has now completed the first cycle in the pilot programme of scheme days to help catch up on routine repairs that we couldn’t do during lockdown. In total, the team attended to 1,602 repairs nationwide.

Hon Chris Pincher MP, to discuss the lack of accessible housing in the UK. The meeting was also attended by Habinteg’s CEO, Sheron Carter, its Director of Strategy and External Affairs, Nic Bungay and Anna Dixon, CEO of Centre for Ageing Better representing the Housing Made for Everyone (HoME) coalition. The meeting was convened by Liz Twist MP, who was also in attendance.
