Announcing the winner of our 2023 Garden Competition

We’d like to say a big thank you to all the tenants who entered this year’s Garden Competition.

We know that many Habinteg households are doing lots of lovely things with their outdoor spaces, so we ran this competition to celebrate creative diversity and showcase the prettiest Habinteg gardens.

We enjoyed seeing the photos of your unique outdoor spaces and what can be done with gardens and balconies of all shapes and sizes.

And the winner is…

Garden canopy of Dawn's winning gardenWe’re pleased to announce that Dawn Harrison-Burton from Raynville Crescent in Leeds, is the winner of our 2023 Garden Competition.

Dawn wins a £100 National Garden Gift Card, which she can use to purchase gardening products at thousands of outlets across the UK.

The competition was judged by our Tenant Editorial Panel. They loved the way the garden was landscaped and were particularly impressed by the way Dawn made use of the space.

Speaking on behalf of the judging team, Chris Hicken said: “It’s a really nice looking garden, well kept and presented. There’s been some good use of colours and the space has been well utilised.”

And the runner ups are…

Balcony filled with colourful flowers in flower potsSecond runner up prize goes to Julie Stammers from our Blackfriars Court scheme in Suffolk. Julie wins a £60 National Garden Gift Card.

Speaking about her entry, Julie said: “These are my favourite flowers on my balcony, where I love to sit and relax.”

And last but not least, the third place runner up prize goes to Linda Sargant from our Rochford scheme in Essex. Linda will receive a £30 National Garden Gift Card.
