Our Neighbourhood Manager for the South West region Cai (pronounced Kay) Larkins support a team of six Neighbourhood Coordinators who work hard to provide the best possible housing service for all tenants. What’s the best thing about your job?
Seeing how impactful it is to provide suitable accessible properties to our tenants, and how much of a difference it makes to their day-to-day life.
What’s the best thing about working on scheme?
No two days are the same, everyday brings a new challenge.
How many tenants do you talk to in a day?
On average, I would say one or two. Our Neighbourhood Coordinators are the ones on the front line who speak to many tenants on a daily basis.
Which one of these animal companions would you prefer to live with: dog, cat or Hedgehog?
I’m definitely a cat person.
What’s the nicest thing that’s happened to you on scheme?
Seeing tenants flourishing after supporting them through their personal struggles.
What’s the most unexpected thing that’s happened to you on your scheme?
I was visited by a hedgehog at a scheme office once!
If you had to be CEO of Habinteg for one week, name three things you’d do?
1. Visit all sites and listen to tenants' and staff feedback in order to shape Habinteg’s future.
2. Invest in new accessible properties strategically with local authorities.
3. Lobby the housing sector & government for improved regulations on accessible housing.
