Habinteg appoints two new gas contractors

As of 9 December 2024, Dodd Group and BSW Heating are responsible for all gas-related servicing and repairs in Habinteg’s homes.

Dodd Group covers Northeast, North, Northwest, West Midlands and Southwest areas, while BSW Heating will look after our Midlands, East Anglia, London, Southeast and South areas.

Both Dodd Group and BSW Heating will be conducting annual service visits as well as any repairs and maintenance on gas heating systems. They will also be covering new boiler installations when needed.

Most of the work will be delivered by staff directly employed by the new contractors, but there may be a need to use sub-contractors for specialist works.

You have consistently told us that we must improve our gas-related servicing and repairs coverage across the country. We have heard you and this is why we have brought in new contractors who have a reputation for providing a reliable, quality service.

Habinteg’s Customer Building Safety Manager, John Gilmore, said: “Our main objective is to provide a service to tenants that is fit for purpose, that will deliver better customer satisfaction, be more efficient and meet all regulatory requirements. These contractors have a proven track record delivering gas maintenance to housing providers.”

Outstanding repairs

If you have any outstanding repairs, your new contractor is aware, and they will contact you to schedule an appointment.

During the handover period there might be some delay in completing certain types of repairs, such as routine repairs, but we’re working hard to ensure that is kept to a minimum. All emergency repairs will be completed as normal.

If you have a new gas-related repair to report, please log it in the usual way with our Customer Services Team at Habinteg Direct on 0300 365 3100 or direct@habinteg.org.uk in the first instance or via your My Habinteg portal, which is quick and easy to register for.
