Tenants at our Ealing St Giles Court scheme have had new lino flooring fitted across their communal indoor spaces, improving the look of their building.
Across the two-storey Ealing block, which has 15 flats, the new blue lino flooring replaces older lino tiles that were careworn and in need of replacing.
In addition to the new flooring, St Giles Court has new, recessed matting in its main entrances, which is designed to be hardwe aring and provides wheelchair users with a level access for ease of use.
"The new communal flooring is very welcome as it replaces the flooring that had been down for many years,” said Anthony Merry, a tenant at St Giles Court.
“It has a pleasant, practical colour and is durable, easy to maintain and so much cleaner, too,” Anthony added.
South and West London Neighbourhood Co-ordinator Alan Rosario, who looks after the St Giles scheme, has spoken to a number of tenants about the new flooring.
“They are really pleased that it’s been completed,” said Alan.
“It’s been something that the tenants have waiting for a while…the old tiles were a bit of an eyesore,” Alan added.
All the tenants at St Giles Court now step out on the new flooring from their front doors, as it covers all of the communal areas, including a communal room with a laundry area.
